Please post here (or in the OtakuNet forum) if you want to volunteer for Shadows.
Volunteers get free entry and we will have t-shirts to give free to volunteers.
Please post what size shirt you’d prefer us to buy for you (no guarantees), and what you would like to volunteer for.
You will need to ‘staff’ the event for a minimum of 2 hours for your free entry and t-shirt. Some of us are assuming the position of ‘staff’ for the entire night. You do not have to assume ONLY one role. You can staff the ticket desk, the video rooms, and still dj, for example. Let us know your preferences.

Some Basic categories of volunteers are:
Set up crew
Tear down crew
Video rooms
Main events (Costume contest, etc.)
Cashbox / ticket taking
DJ
Special Events (did you have an even you want to run?)
Emergency Gopher (example: last year we ran out of ice and needed someone to go buy more)
Other… This isn’t a very extensive list.

Let us know what you like so we can start planning.
I’ll start putting together an organized list of volunteers.

  1. Stan the man would formally like to dedicate his services to Shadows ’08. He can do nearly anything except DJing, he has really no talent for that. Ticketing and putting up/tearing down would be his preference.

  3. If you guys would still like the Wolf Pack Quidditch Club to have something going on, I think we’d like to have a quidditch game out on the lawn for anyone dressed in costume.

    I’d also be willing to help tear down and such.

  5. I can be apart of set up crew and work at the video booth like I did last year I might leave at some point in the middle maybe around 9 or 10 and depending on whats going on I can help at midnight to tear down.
